About Me

Hello, friendly readers.

This post is a little more personal. I thought you guys should be able to get to know the mysterious person who makes the words appear on the page. :)

My name...is not important. No, really, I just don't like giving it out over the internet. Come in to the store if you want to really get to know me. (And maybe pick up a book or two, hmm? ...Yeah, yeah, I know, advertising much?) What is important is that I've always had a great love of reading, and I created this store and this site to share that with other people.

When I was a little kid, I would always try to find a certain saleslady every time I went to the local bookstore. She would always have a new suggestion for a good book for me and she always knew which ones of my favorite series had new books out on the market. Without her influence, and her excellent suggestions, I probably would've never read as much as I did. And so, I created this store to give me the chance to do the same for other people.

As for my tastes, I'm a big fiction fan, but I'll read almost anything. I also really enjoy history books about ancient times--pretty much the Egyptians through the Middle Ages. My most recent read was a certain Stargazer, a sequel to the book Evernight by Claudia Gray. These books are excellent for anyone who loves Twilight, and almost any young teenage girls in general. I would defintely reccomend it. :)

So...now you know! If you have any other questions, swing by the store or leave a comment--if it's not too personal, I'll get back to you.

Happy readings, my friends!

Books of the Month: April (contd.)

Ages 9-13: Growing Up In Pages: Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, by Rick Riordan

This month we truly have a beauty. This book is the first in a series of five, with the last installment coming out this May. The nice thing about these books is that they are ideal for girls and boys, are clean and full of adventure and suspense, and will no doubt get your children interested in Greek myths. The book revolves around a young boy named Percy Jackson, who discovers that he is the son of the sea god Posiedon, and may or may not have the ability to destroy Olympus. Once again, this series will be books enjoyed by you and your children alike, so pick up a copy for yourself today!

Books of the Month: April

So, avid readers, it is time for this month's post! Look down below to see what books our staff recommends, and to get your 10% deduction codeword!

Adult (Fiction): Princesses, Spaceships, and Vampires, Oh My! -- The Host, by Stephenie Meyer. No, she doesn't write just about vampires. This is a book told from an extremely odd perspective (which will not be revealed here) and might just be the only book ever written to have a love triangle...with two bodies...

Although it is more science fiction-esque than most of the books we recommend, the book is an excellent read. 4 1/2 out of 5 stars by the staff. Come by the store to pick up your copy today!

....You didn't think I forgot to give you the promised codeword, did you? Good news for you, I didn't. This month's password is dialogue. Nice and easy to remember, because it's the best part of any good book. Enjoy your 10% discount!
